Kenya To Host Ladies European Tour in November 2016 This Year

Any golfers in the house? As a first in East Africa, Kenya will be hosting the Ladies European Tour golf event at Vipingo Ridge Kilifi from 11th to 20th November 2016. Those who understand the golfing world know that this is quite a feat as the LTE is quite prestigious.

The Ladies European Tour (LTE) was formed in 1978 and over the 37 years, it has developed a prestigious and international appeal. This year there is a total of 312 players from 43 countries competing at tournaments hosted across five continents.

This news is in line with Kenya’s efforts to promote sports tourism and speaking of Vipingo Ridge, Kenya’s cabinet Secretary for tourism Najib Balala said that “This facility is among Kenya’s best golf courses and was recently ranked the best by the Top 100 Golf Courses, an independent website dedicated to recognizing the best golf courses in the world”.
