Tonya Ahenda – Winner Of Kenyan Chapter Of Airtel TRACE Music Stars 2016

Tonya Ahenda has emerged the Kenya country winner for Airtel TRACE Music Stars 2016. Tonya was crowned winner after her performance at Enashipai Spa and Resort. The panel of judges at the event were Atemi Oyungu who is a vocal coach, Kevin Wyre who is a musician and choreographer, as well as music producer Chris Adwar.

For this win, she walks away with a Kshs.1.5M cash prize. On June 11th, Tonya will represent Kenya at the continental finals to be held in Lagos Nigeria where she’ll be in competition with 9 other contestants from across Africa. The first runner up Elvis Kosiso gets a cash prize of Kshs.100,000 and the second runner up Ciano Maimba gets Kshs.50,000 cash.

Tonya’s winning performance was “Falling” by Alicia Keys. We all know that emulating Alicia Keys is no mean feat and we’d like to congratulate Tonya for the win.
