Given a chance, the youth would live all their lives in pomp, colour, good music and good photos. Huawei Mobile this morning introduced the very youth centric Light Up With Colour campaign in which they’ll be offering the youth entry to mid-level phones at between Kshs.8,000/- and Kshs.25,000/-. The phones which Huawei unveiled as part of this drive are Y3II, Y5II, Y6II and GR5 Mini.

The launch of the phones and the Light Up With Colour campaign was held at Serena Nairobi and who better to entertain the audience than H_art The Band with their colourful outfits and their fun, young, and witty performances.

Huawei is targeting youth in different universities across Kenya. Universities are one clear place to connect with youth and Huawei will showcase the phones under the Light Up With Colour campaign there by partnering with TV host and Video DJ Willy Tuva of Mseto East Africa to tour different universities and campuses to showcase the smartphones. Mseto Campus Tours start September and end December.

The lowest priced of the phones is the Y3II – Kshs.7,999/- and the costlier one is the GR5 Mini for Kshs.24,999/-. Some of the impressive features of the GR5 Mini are a multi-functional fingerprint scanner, a 13MP back camera and an 8mp front camera. Another example, the Y3II has a 5MP back camera and a 2MP front camera.
