Oatmeal makes for a great breakfast and apart from this, it is considered one of the healthier whole grain meals. Oatmeal also contains a little fiber and plant based protein that is known to curb hunger and fill you up in a way that will keep you warm long enough before your next meal.

Iced coffee
Believe it or not this actually works. If you indulge in a cup of ice cold coffee during the cold season, you are likely to feel warmer from the inside out. Caffeine is known to increase our metabolism by stimulating the release of fatty acids which in turn can increase body temperature.
Bananas
This enjoyable fruit that we have here in plenty is rich in magnesium and Vitamin B which helps the thyroid and adrenal glands regulate in cold weather.
Soups
There’s nothing like a bowl of heart healthy soup to warm us up on a cold day. The good thing with soups is that they can be made out of just about anything and can be had any time. Soups made in a healthy manner will also not interfere with your waistline.
