Every Tecno customer has contributed to the uplifting of different communities around the country through food donations. The company, through their CSR projects, has visited and donated food to people living in areas most struck by drought in this last quarter.
So far Tecno has been to Isiolo and Kajiado, and just last weekend they went to Kanyuambora area of Embu to make food donations. The Embu visit was the third and last food donation project for this quarter.
Last year most parts of the country suffered from low rainfall which resulted in failed crops. The drought has affected the area that is predominantly made up of farmers who depend mostly on their farms for their daily feed. This is coupled with the aged population that is found in this area who can’t fend for themselves during this time. It is with this in mind that the speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Justin Muturi invited TECNO mobile to visit and help the people of Kanyuambora.
Kanyambora, though not as badly struck by drought as some of the areas that Tecno has visited earlier (Kajiado and Isiolo), it was still in need of food. During this trip, Tecno donated 1.4 Million worth of foodstuffs to the people in that area.
