Sony Electronics Wins Big In Berlin Held EISA Awards

Sony, the electronic maker we all know and trust, has won a record seven awards in the prestigious European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). No other manufacturer has ever won this many awards in a single year. The awards were held in Berlin Germany and looked at different categories like home theatre systems, lenses, and cameras.

The EISA Camera of the Year for 2017-2018, was awarded to the Sony α9, a mirrorless camera that rivals the traditional DSLR, with a 24.2 million pixel full-frame image sensor that captures up to 20 frames per second in full resolution.

The Sony camera has a super-fast autofocus system which ensures that even fast-moving subjects are in focus, while the 5-axis image stabilisation allows a 5-step slower shutter speed.

For movie lovers, the oversampling process and full-frame pixel read-out in the camera results in excellent 4K movie quality.

Other than a host of awards in the camera department, Sony also won in the home theatre category where the Sony KD-65ZD9 took home the EISA Home Theatre TV 2017-2018. Sony’s 4K flagship delivers an outstanding viewing experience, with excellent colour reproduction and best-in-class contrast, plus support for all major HDR formats (including a scheduled upgrade for Dolby Vision). The KD-65ZD9 is a premium home theatre display with the performance power to match and realizes the ultimate 4K HDR visual experience with extraordinary brightness, contrast, and vibrant colour.
