Coming Soon To Kenya – The Tecno Camon X And X Pro

Just when we thought mid range selfie phone cameras can only go so far, Tecno has gone and launched the Tecno Camon X Pro with a whopping 24 MP front camera. The global launch took place in Nigeria and the phones should be with us here in Kenya by soon. Ever since the start of the Camon series, Tecno has continuously put superior photography in the hands of smartphone users and this trend continues with the launch of this latest handset.

Tecno phones are made with the realities of the rapidly changing needs of customers in mind, and it is no secret that the selfie has continued to have quite a grip on the world. Not just selfies, photography as a whole has continued to grip customer interests as superior cameras on phones become more available to the people.

Other than X Pro, Tecno also launched the Camon X which comes with a 20MP front facing camera and a 16MP rear. The Camon X comes with an internal memory of 16GB, expandable to 128GB. That’s a whole lot of space even for the most out of control selfie lover. The X Pro is even higher with an internal memory of 64GB. The Pro version also comes with a host of other features more superior to the X and we’ll be looking at those in a later post.

As far as phone security goes, the very secure fingerprint scanner technology is still present in both phones, but they also now come with facial recognition. Say hello to unlocking your phone with your face!

In line with customer expectation for modern smart phones to perform better both in terms of speed and power consumption, the phones are fitted with superior chipsets along with other features to give the end user the best experience while still concentrating on affordability of the handsets. One of this features is HiOS’s ability to identify any processes that may heat up the phone and apply background processes like internal cleaning to cool it off.

Aside from the two phones in the Camon series, Tecno also launched the midrange F series phones which are powered by Android Oreo Go Edition.

We’ll soon have the Tecno Camon X and cannot wait to document our experience with it here, as well as the full features.
