OPPO F9 Officially Lands In Kenya: Does It Have What it Takes?

OPPO, the global Smartphone brand on September 17 officially launched the OPPO F9 in Kenya.

The phone features a sleek design fit for the contemporary client who is always on the move. It brings the Voltage Open Loop Multi-Step Constant-Current Charging (VOOC) Flash Charge, the first low-voltage fast charging technology, which comes in handy when one needs to travel.

In a world where everybody wants a device that meets all their needs, a device with longer battery life, a fashionable design, a smooth operating system, and durability becomes a priority.

According to Jesse Wu, OPPO Kenya Brand Manager, the OPPO F9 was designed to offer you optimal services for long and with it an added advantage of rapid charging technology, voltage protection, dual SIM, great fit to the palm and in sleek colors.

OPPO F9’s VOOC technology applies a low voltage fast charging mechanism to deliver rapid charge at a speed four times faster than the normal conventional charging technology while ensuring a safe charging process with five layers of protection from the charging adapter to smartphone, including low temperature and voltage.

Furthermore, the phone comes with a 19.5:9 unique Water-drop Screen design with a ratio of 90.8 percent, a front with a top notch that hosts the receiver, camera and light sensor for more condensed space and more compact layout, giving the handset a symmetrical beauty that allows viewing of more content.

OPPO F9 is available in two colors, Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. Another color, Starry Purple will also be introduced before the year ends. The colors reflect sunrise, twilight, and starry skies, a perfect infusion of these feelings in a smartphone.

To achieve a unified design, F9 for the first time applies a gradient design on the side frame, making the sides and the back a naturally connected whole.

Boosting of a five-layer protection system, the OPPO F9 is ideal for a variety of electric current. It has a sensor that detects and adjusts voltage, a VOCC Identification built into the adapter for identifying if the device supports flash charging, has an overload protection, not to mention its ability to detect voltage levels. Nonetheless, the phone features a fuse that cuts out any excess current during a charge. All these features ensure your safety and that of your phone.

You can also use your phone while charging and still obtain the same levels of super-fast charging.

Based on Android 8.1, the phone comes in two variants a 4GB RAM and a 6 GB RAM both having a 64GB Storage, which can further be expanded with an internal microSD card of up to 256GB.

The phone comes with dual rear cameras (16MP + 2MP) also pioneering the 25MP A.I front camera. The operating system is the ColorOS 5.2, perfect for creating a smarter interactive experience for users. The F9 is equipped with the Google Lens that identifies objects and shows relevant search results and information.

The Device has been on pre-order since 10th September 2018 and will officially go on sale on 24th September at a price of 35,990 shillings for the 4GB version and for the 6GB for 37,990 shillings.

It will also be available in Lipa Later, a credit company that has made it possible for the customer to get the smartphone today and pay for it later in affordable monthly installments.
