Rock your RED!!

Beauty to me is being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kickass red lipstick! Unfortunately, not all shades of red go well with everyone’s skin tone. So ladies, you need to find that ONE shade that suits you and stick to it.

I believe that every lady should own a red lipstick. Whether married or single. Nothing beats rocking a beautiful dark colored gown and topping it up with a sexy red lip! It’s always a good idea for all kinds of events be it weddings, graduation, birthday parties, name it. Red never disappoints! Trust me.

I’m such a sucker for lipsticks. I can skip lunch just to get me a new soldier to join my lipstick army. However, I have a few faves that I would like to share with you guys. Ladies listen up and gents I doubt you’ll have a hard time looking for a birthday gift. Thank me later.

So first up is my current obsession. It’s a red liquid matte lipstick by Millebaci. I have two in different shades. Both are red but one is deeper than the other. Millebaci 46 is the deep red one. It literally looks like blood! Ah! I’m in love with it! It’s perfect for the night. Such a dark red and looks even better when used with brown lip liner. But I have come to realize that it actually looks a bit different on fairer skin tones. I would say it suits them better. However, millebaci no.7 is slightly bright red and has a nice matte finish. It looks AMAZING on both dark and fair skin. Both items can be found at Nakumatt Ukay on their stand. Nakshi Nouba is the brand name.

My other fave is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo: a dark red with a soft matte finish. As described by NYX the Soft Matte Lip Creams are part lipstick, part lip gloss, part lip stain. It’s not a lipstick, nor is it a gloss, it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before! It’s lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte. It’s so creamy!! And soft! And looks absolutely gorgeous! I would marry it. Ha! Unfortunately, it’s not available in Kenya. But you can always find someone to send. Those are my few faves of the week. I hope you enjoyed it.
