They say that music is the only weapon that hits you, but instead of leaving you with pain, it leaves you vibrating with mixed emotions including joy. Music, according to the legendary Remmy Ongala, cannot be defined. It is everything.

Jazz is that music that our forefathers would refer to it as “Mziki bila jash.” A cool genre that needs no struggle to enjoy. Thanks to Safaricom, Kenyans have always had an opportunity to enjoy Jazz every year.

As s company that cares about nurturing talents, Safaricom makes sure that the proceeds collected from the sale of tickets to the Jazz events it has been holding go to the aid of the Ghetto Classics.

Ghetto Classics is no ordinary name. It is what one can describe as a pool of talents that would have otherwise gone to waste without Safaricom. Watching those energetic young people of Ghetto Classics on stage always gives one the satisfaction of having contributed towards a worthy cause.
