Some Beneficiaries Of Phase Two Of Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu Initiative

In February this year, Safaricom Foundation unveiled phase two of Ndoto Zetu – an overwhelmingly successful and impactful initiative which impacted at least 52, 473 people with over 300 projects implemented across 40 counties in the first phase. The launch of this second phase was at St. George’s Primary School in Ruiru. St. George’s is a school which has a wing for children with special needs like autism and hearing disabilities and this wing was one among hundreds of other beneficiaries around the country.

For this second phase which has prioritized health projects given the damage that COVID-19 has done to that sector, Safaricom Foundation has equipped fourteen health facilities from across the country to the tune of Ksh5.7 Million. Safaricom Foundation which has philanthropic footprints in all 47 counties works to improve and transform lives by partnering with organizations, institutions, and communities.

In Nyamira county for example, Nyangweta health centre received a hemoglobin machine while Esianya Dispensary has a new oxygen concentrator and centrifuge machine. Katito hospital and Andingo Opanga health centre in Kisumu received a hemoglobin Machine and an equipped maternity wing respectively.

Down at the coast, Manoa Dispensary in Taita Taveta received delivery beds, baby warmers and medicine trolleys while Kwale’s Mazeras health centre now has new maternity beds and delivery coaches.

You know what, why don’t we just have the complete list of beneficiaries. These are all powerful stories and each one of them will impact lives and ripple through communities.
