Immunity Boosters Within Easy Reach

Though invisible and easy to take for granted, our immunity is what keeps us going. Without immunity we would always be sickly and lacking in energy to take on our day to day activities like work, raising families, and keeping our homes in top condition. Though our bodies have natural immunity, there is nothing wrong with boosting it with safe products like these ones below.

Lemon+Ginger
This combo, is informally known as the wonder-working combo. Cut the lemon into tiny pieces and do the same for the ginger. Then add on hot water and drink. Take this mixture as a matter of habit and your respiratory system as well as overall body immunity will thank you for it with time.

Honey
Is there anything honey cannot solve really? You can opt to take spoonfuls of raw honey or mix it with the combo above. Honey has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and so many other benefits and the good thing is that it comes naturally sweetened so no need to bombard the body with artificial sugars.

Ginger Tea
This is my personal favourite. It not only helps keep your respiratory system clear, it also stimulates your mouth with all sorts of exciting flavours. Put crushed ginger in a cup before you pour tea in it. A very important thing to note here however, is that you ought to be careful not to put too much sugar in the tea. I would recommend half your usual amount of sugar, or no sugar at all. Too much sugar has never been a friend to our bodies.

Garlic
Again, this can be used with any of the remedies above, or if you can stand the strong flavour, just chew on a raw pellet every once in a while. Garlic is a superfood with many nutrients that boost the immune system and therefore can be used both for preventive and corrective purposes. Use it as a spice in food if the taste of it raw is too strong for you. It still gives almost the same results.

Turmeric
Like garlic, turmeric also contains compounds with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It can be used as a spice in food or added to warm milk to help fight the flu. Caution should be taken not to use it in excess because this may result into stomach upsets, diarrhoea, nausea and dizziness.
