The Nokia G21 – Some Features You Will Love

by Femme Staff

Earlier this year, HMD launched the Nokia G21, a smartphone which is made very much in like with the company’s renewed promise to offer users long lasting phones with enhanced security and prolonged battery life.  The phone is fairly priced, along the company’s mission to make quality phones accessible to everyone around the world. The G-Series was launched last year and since then, Nokia has enhanced each addition that has followed the initial pieces.

What are some of the features that make the G21 a great companion?

Sustainability

A greener earth is now everyone’s responsibility to chip in day by day even as Governments and sustainability organizations do the heavy lifting. Nokia G21 users are doing their part just by choosing the phone since it is made of 100% recycled materials and can also be recycled after use. This is major. By making longer lasting phones and long serving batteries, Nokia is also playing its part in preserving the earth and assisting its customers to do so simply by using the phone.

Partnership with Spotify

HMD Nokia has an exciting partnership between Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming service. With this agreement, Nokia users will have access to over 70 Million tracks and 2.6 Million podcasts through Spotify Free.

Nokia has put into consideration that storage is invaluable in mobile phones and created Spotify Lite which will be operating on Android Go. Spotify Lite is a smaller more simplified version that does not hog RAM, and this allows phone storage to be assigned to other functions while users are still enjoying streaming music. With Spotify Lite, users can even set a data limit.

HMD wants to give Nokia users a smooth experience, so that they can have Spotify immediately they set up their device. Since it has a global fanbase and Nokia is a global brand, this partnership is sure to reach a lot of people. Furthermore, a new track is uploaded onto Spotify every second and so, Nokia owners will always be up to date with audio content. The platform is also well represented geographically, having recently launched in over 80 countries including Kenya. That takes its availability to 178. Among these, Spotify Lite is available in 77.

Long lasting battery

Battery life has always been a pain point for phone users because what’s the point of a great phone if one can’t use it in peace because of battery warnings? This is pretty much a thing of the past with the Nokia G21 which comes with a promise of 3-day battery even for heavy users. Smartphones are generally high battery consumers and for Nokia to fit this much time on a single charge is quite a commendable feat. Along with the great battery, the Nokia G21 also has a support system of battery saving features, like the super battery saver which comes on when charge drops to 20% %, rather than waiting until it dips down to 10%, as per the standard Android solution, enabling you to prolong it even further. You can even choose where exactly the energy savings are made, so you can still access key features that are needed.

Great technology

We are making more use of smartphones for complex performance like gaming and office work, and this requires technology that does not lag or keep glitching. With the Nokia G21, we get the power of 90Hz which greatly improves refresh rate, making scrolling, typing, taking photos and fast paced gaming smoother. A seamless experience with a phone is a powerful assurance because these days the world is moving fast, and we want a device that supports this.

Still on modern technology, for the first time on a Nokia G-series device, users can now stream Netflix in HD, making for optimum streaming of all your favourite movies and TV shows on-the-go on the Nokia G21.

The Nokia G21 has many more features that we love and we shall be looking at more in the next article.
