The OPPO Reno 8T 5G – Unboxing And First Impressions

by Naomi Wanjiru

I finally got my hands on the soon to be launched OPPO Reno 8T 5G and my unit came in a shimmery sunrise gold. The first thing that struck me upon unboxing the phone is just how sleek and stylish it is with just the right colour for me, the right simplicity and a light weight that I love.

The phone reminds me of the OPPO Reno 5 which in my review back then, I genuinely described as ‘near perfect’ and I meant every word. Catch the review here. Despite having a new gadget or other in my hands all the time, I used the Reno 5 for close to three years before finally moving to Reno 8 5G. I can already tell that this Reno 8T 5G is a gadget I will love immensely and use as a primary phone for a long time.

These premium design elements, combined with the outstanding craftsmanship of the Reno series, make the Reno8 T the ultimate choice for those seeking a stylish, lightweight, and durable smartphone. With this new generation of the Reno series, OPPO continues to push the boundaries of design and innovation, delivering a premium experience for its users – OPPO.

What’s in the box?

First off, the packaging is also quite a standout, having taken a departure from the blue packaging that the previous phones come in. This one is off white with some shimmer running through the middle of the box. In the box you will find the phone itself, a custom-made back cover, a factory installed screen protector, a charging brick, USB cable, a user guide, a safety guide and a SIM ejector tool.

I started using the phone last week and will be doing a comprehensive review after I’ve familiarized with it some more. But already I’m in love with the 108MP back camera, the charging speed of the phone, the speed and multitasking capabilities, looks and most of all the curved screen.

Keep it here for the review and for more details especially on pricing once the phone officially launches on February 16.
