During this year’s CES, LG Electronics showcased some interesting new technologies and devices, and demonstrated how they are here to make life easier for customers. There was a lot of great information to take in but and a few things stood out for me, mostly because I love good décor and these are in line with that.
Here are a few, though LG had a lot more up its sleeve.
MoodUp
MoodUp demonstrated how home appliances can be tuned to people’s unique preferences no matter how wild. With the refrigerators for instance, LG is in partnership with Pantone Colour Institute to give users upto 190,000 different colours to play around with to find what suits them and their mood best. We are talking about real time transition of colours for the design and space that you fancy, and with the 4 door French models for fridges, you can mix and match colours as you want. This is a great way to switch up kitchen décor without having any physical input to it. Furthermore, the refrigerators still have the knock twice Instaview feature.
LG Styler shoe case and shoe care
I was a little surprised to see this from LG but as it was explained, it made so much sense. This is a shoe case that creates the ideal environment for shoe storage by keeping them safe from fabric discoloring UV light, humidity and germs overgrowth. The case is equipped with LG’s TrueSteam and Zeo-Dry filters absorbent properties that soak up moisture, keeping the shoes odour free, sanitized and fresh all the time. Users can customize the lighting in the shoe case to suit their personalities and décor. With a 360-degree rotating turntable design, it is possible to stack upto four cases on top of one another.
Table & Air purifier
LG also highlighted its table-type air purifier which can be used as a nightstand, in the living room, or indeed in any part of the house. The purifier comes in fixed colours but users can play around with mood lighting where they can combine their choice colours and designs to fit existing décor. Users can also conveniently charge their smartphones and wireless earbuds via the table-top’s built-in wireless charger. This is such a well thought out item and furthermore, it is made from recycled materials in line with LG’s green earth policies.
My best feature about the table-type air purifier is that it can reduce 94% of airborne bacteria and 91% of airborne viruses, making it quite the health companion to have in the home.
