Oppo has revealed the winners of the #Reno8TSunsetPotrait challenge that commenced on March 13th, 2023. The victorious participants were awarded an Oppo Reno8 T, Oppo band, and Oppo Enco Buds for securing the first, second, and third positions, respectively. The challenge witnessed participants exhibiting their photography prowess by capturing captivating sunset portraits of themselves in a creative and innovative manner.
Fredrique Achieng, the PR Manager of OPPO Kenya, commented on the challenge, stating that Kenya boasts a plethora of skilled photographers, reflecting the burgeoning photography industry in the country. This growth can be attributed to the advancements in technology, coupled with the increasing usage of social media platforms. As per the Communications Authority of Kenya, as of 2021, there were around 60 million mobile phone subscribers in the country. Additionally, the number of social media users is also significant, with approximately 11.9 million Facebook users and 2.5 million Instagram users, as reported by Statista.
“Moreover, in recent years, there has been a rise in the number of photography schools, workshops, photography exhibitions and competitions such as the #Reno8TSunset Portrait challenge that provide opportunities for photographers to develop and showcase their work and network with other professionals,” he added.
