In a move that resonates with the growing values of environmental conservation by Kenyan consumers, LG Electronics (LG) is set to unveil its groundbreaking tumbler washer, the LG mycup, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, USA, from January 9-12. This innovative cleaning solution, with its state-of-the-art technology featuring reusable cups and tumblers, represents a conscientious choice for eco-conscious consumers.
The product emphasizes LG’s ESG commitment of a Better Life for All by incorporating the company’s eco-friendly technologies from its innovative dishwashers to save water. For example, LG’s Bubble-Jet technology reduces water usage by 17% while maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.
This innovative mycup washer allows users to clean one tumbler at a time by simply placing it inside and selecting from two cleaning courses – Quick Wash and Extra Wash – through the LG mycup app. The cleaning process is then conveniently displayed on the upper panel, for wash-state monitoring, with the users receiving an app notification upon cycle completion.
Both courses utilize a 65-degree Celsius hot water cycle to ensure thorough and hygienic cleaning. The Quick Wash course cleans the inside of the tumbler in just 30 seconds. For more challenging residues like dairy, the Extra Wash course has an integrated air-drying design to clean and gently dry the tumbler with a multi-directional water jet and powerful hot air.
Designed to occupy minimal space, LG mycup’s slim and compact design maximizes space utilization without compromising performance. Its space-efficient dimensions (230mm width, 420mm 430mm depth, 900mm height) make it ideal for various environments, from trendy cafés to busy offices and educational institutions. The washer’s simple yet modern design integrates into any interior, combining functionality and aesthetics.
“The compact, easy-to-use LG mycup washer cleans tumblers fast and effectively with its powerful cleaning capabilities, promoting a sustainable lifestyle that safeguards our planet for future generations,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We will continue to develop products that positively impact our customers’ daily lives and the environment, paving the way to a cleaner future.”
Visitors can experience LG mycup alongside the company’s other innovations at its CES booth (#16008, Las Vegas Convention Center).
