Safaricom has kicked off its countrywide customer engagement and networking forums dubbed Safire Connect, beginning with an inaugural session in Embu, Mt Kenya region.
Safire Connect aims to keep the spark alive for Safaricom customers who are intentional about advancing by meaningfully connecting them to their aspirations. The forums will connect like-minded individuals and allow the exchange of ideas on hustles, personal branding, opportunities within the community and financial wellness. The most disruptive element of these engagements will be in the exposure to technology as a key ingredient to achieving the success yearned.
“At Safaricom, we are passionately committed to our mission of enriching lives through meaningful connections. Our vision extends beyond just connectivity; it’s about linking individuals to one another, to avenues of opportunity, and to a wealth of knowledge. Through the introduction of these customer forums, our dedication lies in living this purpose and facilitating customer journey towards successful financial wellness,” said Fawzia Ali-Kimanthi, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Safaricom PLC.
The format of the engagement forums embodies a dynamic and immersive experience, designed to resonate deeply with our customers and reflect our brand’s core purpose. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, themed discussions, and immersive showcases, all crafted to foster genuine connections and inspire collective growth.
Key topics to be covered include the power of technology and how it can impact agriculture, the power of personal branding and social presence as well as personal financial management. Key partners for the Embu Chapter are Centonomy – a financial literacy institution that teaches individuals about management of their personal finances, ZOHO – a cloud-based software suite that offers business and productivity tools, Sidai – a vertically integrated company supplying quality livestock and crop inputs and training to farmers and pastoralists across Kenya, and KALPRO – experts in the supply chain for grain-based distilleries and warehousing of essential feedstocks.
