Epson Launches META-CWA Sales Company to Boost Regional Tech Innovation

Global technology company Epson has set up a new sales company to serve the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central & West Asia (META-CWA) region.

With its headquarters in Dubai, UAE, the new regional operations will be spearheaded by Epson, META-CWA, President Neil Colquhoun with the aim of reimagining the ways in which technology can be used by consumers and businesses across the region.

Epson, META-CWA, President Neil Colquhoun says the region holds great promise, inspired by the immense growth within META-CWA in recent years. With more than a decade’s experience within the company, Epson, META-CWA, President Neil will be leading diverse personnel of over 320 individuals.

“At Epson, we take pride in what we design, manufacture, and deliver. This expansion into the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central & West Asia represents more than just business growth — it’s about connecting with the heart of local needs and delivering technology that empowers people and businesses, all while caring for the planet and building a more sustainable future,” said Colquhoun.

“Moreover, this structure will give our talented on-ground teams even greater opportunity to support the continued business growth with local partners.”

Epson intends to leverage its vast in-market network to bring to market high-quality technology solutions in various categories- visual display, printing, scanning, lifestyle and manufacturing. This will involve making provisions for tailor-made solutions for an increasing customer base in different sectors such as healthcare, financial services, education, hospitality, construction, entertainment, retail and tourism.

In recent years, Epson has reported strong double-digit sales growth across the META-CWA region, with portfolios such as its education solutions growing by more than 100% between FY2022 and FY2023.

One of the company’s goals is to become carbon negative and to put an end to the use of limited underground resources such as metal and oil by 2050. The company also wants to support their consumers in reducing their carbon footprint by offering sustainable technologies. Additionally, Epson META-CWA has already made investments in processes and initiatives that will limit its environmental impact.

“Considering the large geographical footprint that META-CWA covers, the aim is to establish an environment that promotes both professional and business growth, while accommodating the diversity of its entire workforce,” stated Colquhoun.

With a leadership team consisting of eleven nationalities, women hold almost half of the management positions which is a testament of the organization’s commitment to promoting inclusion, female-empowerment and diversity.

In addition to that, Epson META-CWA, plans to initiate an Epson Graduate Program that will attract and champion local talent.
