Safaricom Launches MySacco App for Seamless SACCO Management Across Kenya

Safaricom has today announced a new, easy-to-use application that will enable Saccos across Kenya to efficiently manage a growing and diverse membership base.

The MySacco App is a strategic addition through which Sacco members will now access a wider service offering with the platform having simplified the process of opening savings accounts and managing loans, making it fully digitised, trackable, and incredibly user-friendly.

While commenting on the new development, Safaricom Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Cynthia Kropac reiterated Safaricom’s commitment to its customers’ growth and contributing towards the country’s economic development. 

“We have built a secure digital infrastructure that SACCOs need. MySacco App is more than a platform. It is a tool that empowers SACCOs to unlock their full potential and deliver exceptional services to their members. With MySacco, convenience meets affordability, security, and financial inclusion to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” she said.

Other functions on the app include ability for members to handle multiple SACCO memberships and perform intra-SACCO transfers. The loan process, from application to disbursement and repayment is also fully digitised and trackable.

“In a fast-paced digital world, this infrastructure ensures the protection of data, maintains secure communication channels, and contributes to the overall satisfaction of the customer,” Ms Kropac added.

To ensure maximum accessibility, MySacco will be available across multiple digital channels. We will offer Android and iOS mobile apps for on-the-go access, a web portal for advanced functionality, and even USSD support for members without smartphones.
