Safaricom Celebrates Rift Valley Dealers in Sambaza Furaha Engagement Dinner

The region’s leading technology company Safaricom hosted an engagement dinner forum to celebrate its dealers in the Rift Valley region for bringing Safaricom’s products and services closer to customers over the years.

The dinner event that was held in Eldoret as part of Safaricom’s ongoing Sambaza Furaha campaign, honoured the company’s dealers and M-PESA agents in the region for their significant contributions to transforming lives over the past 24 years.

The event brought together more than 60 dealers from across the Rift Valley, who shared their journeys, experiences, and achievements from their longstanding collaboration with Safaricom.

Speaking at the engagement forum, Samuel Kirubi, Rift Valley Regional Business Lead at Safaricom said, “This is a big moment for us as we bring early festive cheer to our customers by gifting them with various delights. Today, we are also celebrating our dealers in this region, who have played a significant role in our success as a company. They are key stakeholders and hold great importance to us. We have shared a meal together and exchanged experiences from our journey together,” he said.

For Mr. Ashish Shah of Happy Go Limited, one of Safaricom’s longest-serving dealers, this was a proud moment as he expressed his joy while reflecting on his 24-year journey with the company since its inception.

“It has been an incredible experience working with Safaricom over all these years. I have been a dealer with Safaricom since the company first started, and it’s truly remarkable to witness its growth from a small telecommunications provider to a leading technology company. The most transformative development has been M-PESA, which has positively impacted millions of Kenyans,” said, Ashish Shah.

Similar sentiments were expressed by Mrs. Beatrice Waititu, who has been working with Safaricom as an M-PESA agent since 2009. She noted that M-PESA has been a game-changer for her life and the lives of many Kenyans.

“I started as an employee at an M-PESA agency, but today I’m proud to own several M-PESA agencies where I have created jobs and supported livelihoods. I thank Safaricom for this transformative idea, which has enabled many people to earn a living and transformed countless lives,” said Mrs. Waititu.

This engagement is part of Safaricom’s ongoing community activities in the Rift Valley region, where the company is spreading festive cheer through various gifts, including goats, chickens, food hampers, airtime, and other items to celebrate its customers in the area through Sambaza Furaha campaign.

The Sambaza Furaha campaign kicked off in the Rift Region on Monday, November 11, with a caravan traversing major towns and markets along different routes including Narok, Mulot, Kabianga, Kericho, Nandi Hills, Kapsabet, Mosoriot among others, spreading blessings and joy to residents.

Today, the caravan will travel through Langas, Chepkoilel Junction, Ziwa, Soi, Maili Tisa, and Maili Nne.
