A Fridge You Can Talk To – The LG Instaview Door-in-Door

Technology is quickly changing the way consumers use products and home appliances. This especially with tremendous growth of a combination of cloud, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. I cannot think of a recently manufactured gadget or home appliance that does not incorporate tech to some extent – some more than others.

With home appliance giants like LG leading the way, technology is getting closer to people’s homes, saving time and making lives more convenient. LG products with AI for instance are learning to automatically adjust music, lighting and air conditioning in the home.

And then there is the LG Door-in-Door Instaview fridge whose use of tech is what I find coolest simply because a fridge is the heart of the home.

With LG’s ThinQ technology for instance, the InstaView door-in-door Fridge is smart enough to send messages to your phone and tell you when you are running low on various groceries. Who knows, maybe we are looking at a future where technology like this will collaborate with local supermarkets and get groceries remotely ordered and then delivered at home.

The fridge is also able to take voice commands, say you have a load of groceries in your hands that you want to put in the fridge and do not want to put them down first. It is these little conveniences that add up to ultimately make life easier for us all. This coupled with the Instaview key feature that is Door-in-door which reduces the number of times you need to open the door is a win for users. We are living in a new age and the only way to go in terms of technology is forward. The next generation is indeed in for a treat with smarter technologies as smart homes become more of a reality every day.
