Absa Bank Kenya Celebrating The Top Employer Award For The Second Year Running

Absa Bank Kenya started the year on a high note after it was named the 2023 top employer in Kenya and Africa. This is the second consecutive year that the bank is getting this recognition which is facilitated by the Dutch research firm Top Employers Institute and is a testament of the bank’s commitment to ensuring an enriching environment for its employees through excellent people practices.

To declare a winner, Top Employers Institute looks at different key areas in a company’s operations, including but not limited to compensation and benefits, career and succession management and overall work culture. Through their HR Best Practices Survey, the firm also looks at people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity, equity & inclusion, wellbeing and more.  

Being certified as a Top Employer showcases an organisation’s dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through well actualized HR policies. This is a deserved win for Absa and very much in line with its core belief that ‘Our People are our Strength’. This shows that the bank recognizes the crucial role that members of staff play to ensure that customers enjoy a great banking experience, and it is committed to creating a working environment that allows workers to thrive.
