Sigona Golf Club in Limuru, Kiambu County, will tomorrow Saturday, April 1st, play host to Diamond Trust Bank’s (DTB) ‘Bank with us’ golf tournament.

The weekend’s competition has attracted over 240 players from across the region, who will take part in a four-ball tournament.  This is the first golf tournament by the Bank this year.

“We are delighted to hold our first golf tournament of the year at Sigona Golf Club. As a bank, we are keen on supporting sports in the country which helps in developing and growing talents. Last year, we had a very successful series of five legs, with over 400 players getting an opportunity to participate in the tournaments which also offered us an opportunity to interact and network with our esteemed customers,” said DTB Group CEO, Nasim Devji.

Last year, the Bank held five successful golf tournaments in Kakamega, Mombasa, Kericho and Kisumu before culminating in Eldoret, which saw over 400 participants take part.

Some of the notable players who will be bracing for the chilly Limuru weather, taking to the Par 72 course this Saturday include George Kuria, Naveed Nanji, Stephen Ngunje, Rachael Ndei and Japheth Achola.

The DTB ‘Bank with us’ golf tournament aims to grow the sport as well as boost businesses by bringing services closer to its customers and offering networking opportunities.

Also, as part of DTB’s efforts to grow networks, the Bank continues to open more branches across the country.

Last week, DTB opened three new branches in Kijabe Street, Kiambu town and Baba Dogo.  The opening of the three branches pushes DTB group’s branch network to 70 branches in Kenya and 138 across East Africa. This comes in line with the Bank’s strategic expansion roadmap, which entails providing quality customer service and easy accessibility to its diverse product portfolio.

DTB continues to provide innovative banking solutions across its growing branch network for individuals and businesses through a ‘customer-first’ approach.
