At Mukuru Clean Stoves (MCS) we repurpose locally sourced waste metal to manufacture improved, efficient, and reliable cookstoves and the we partner with local women business owners to distribute to the last mile.
Over the past seven years, Charlot’s company has sold over 400,000 clean cookstoves in Kenya, directly improving the lives of more than 2 million people. This remarkable achievement has led to significant economic benefits for households and savings in energy costs. Beyond financial savings, her initiative has had a profound environmental impact, helping avoid nearly 1 million metric tonnes of CO2 emissions.
